We recently visited Grandma B's on our spring break trip. We passed Grandma B's a couple of times driving down 35 and it caught my eye because they have picnic tables out front that seemed to be visited fraquently by locals on golf carts and family's enjoying the great weather sooo one night we decided to pass up the big chain dessert place right up the street and stop in to shop local! Man what a treat this was for our little family of 5! I am native Texan and was super excited by all the choices of Bluebell! I made my choice and we sat outside and enjoyed our treats! Well we came back two more times on our trip, don't judge...We were on vaca for a week lol. One night I had a chocolate shake that also did not disapoint! Do not miss out on a yummy treat or a friendly smile next time you're in Rockport! PS...I know we will back! ~ Kimberly G

This is our favorite for, date night, family outing, dessert with friends, you name it!! They have a yummy selection of old school candy sold by weight, plus chocolate options, also truffles and fudge. Blue Bell ice cream by the scoop, your choice of cup, waffle cone or waffle bowl, shakes, malts, Sundays, ice cream brownie sundaes!!! Oh and I can't forget about the craft sodas in a bottle. Something for everyone in your group. The view is stunning as it sits across Little Bay and they have plenty of seating indoor and out as well as board games. The staff and owners are always friendly and helpful. I recommend this to every newcomer of Rockport. ~ Amanda R

Had a craving for something sweet, so I Googled nearby sweet shops (I don’t live in this area). Grandma B’s was the first place to pop up that was even open at 7:00 pm on a Sunday (they don’t close until 9:00 pm - awesome!). I’m not a huge fan of sweets, so I just got something very simple to satisfy my craving - double scoop of Blue Bell rainbow sherbet. This review is based on more though. We were immediately greeted by the staff. The place was busting at the seams with people enjoying ice cream, snow cones, floats and other desserts. The shop is cute and has several types of candy and chocolates for purchase. We were politely served with smiles and thank you’s. There is plenty of indoor seating an also two picnic tables outside. It looks like many of the locals frequent this establishment with their families and friends. I want to return to try more menu items. ~ Lauri B

If you’re in Rockport and craving something cold and sweet, Grandma B Sweet Treats is the jackpot! The ice cream scoops here are HUGE — like, “good luck finishing it without a nap” huge. The flavors are colorful, creamy, and delicious, with something for everyone from classics like mint chocolate chip to wild rainbow creations that look like edible artwork. The waffle cones are fresh, crunchy, and strong enough to actually hold those monster-sized scoops (important when your ice cream is bigger than your fist!). The shop itself has a fun, old-school ice cream parlor vibe that just makes you feel happy the second you walk in. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they care about their customers and making the experience special. Bottom line: If you love ice cream and you’re anywhere near Rockport, Grandma B’s is a must-stop. Bring your sweet tooth, and maybe a napkin or two, because you’re going to need it! ~ Jay

Excellent place to indulge! Had shakes and malts tonight. Will be back for the hot brownie Sunday which I saw someone enjoying. Reasonable for the amount of ice cream. Not skimpy servings. Huge candy and treat selection including what looks like homemade fudge in an impressive assortment. Also impressed that they are even open past 8 pm. Not many local options for anything after this hour. Plenty of people were coming in. Very glad to see local places doing well when surrounded by Sonic Dairy Queen and corporate America. This ice cream and candy shop is an absolute dream! The ice cream is rich, creamy, and comes in so many fun flavors—it was hard to choose just one (so I didn’t!). The candy selection is like stepping into a wonderland, with everything from old-school favorites to unique treats you don’t see every day. The staff was super friendly and patient while we browsed, and the whole place has such a fun, nostalgic vibe. You can't go wrong with ice cream and candy. The oatmeal pie ice cream is awesome. Since most are going to love sweets regardless, this review is for the folks working there. They were attentive to our kids, had great personalities and conversation. They were positive and full of smiles and my family felt the good vibes coming from them. We didn't get to try their food, but will next time we come as the sandwiches look delicious. If that sounds like the kind of people you want to support then come here. ~ Dan G

At GRANDMA B SWEET TREATS, I had the pecan fudge which was absolutely beyond delicious—and THEN I also had a one-scoop sundae with hot fudge😆. I had to contain myself here bc every thing is so yummy and I looove sweets😃😍The ice cream is so fresh and delicious. The whipped cream, the nuts—everything homemade and amazing. The shop is adorable, right across from the water. It’s the perfect little spot for a family outing, a solo treat, or a cute date. Thank you so much for the sweet experience! ~ Tania B

So much to choose from! Candy by the lb, fudge, chocolates, icecream, some old fashioned treats. I went in for chocolates, but changed my mind due to a single truffle pc being $4.99, but they did look good. I opted for a single scoop cup of ice cream. And a c candy treat instead. Definitely busy in the evening hours for this small location, but there is ample seating and the lines moved quickly, the staff is very pleasant and helpful. Cute little candy shop. This places smells like heaven & tastes like heaven. They have 30+ ice cream flavors- some that you can hardly find in stores like Blue Bells Southern Blackberry Cobbler. The customer service was the best we’ve experienced in a long time. The sweet smell when you walk in are fresh waffle cones being made & it’s one of the few ice cream shops you can order waffle chips. I was extremely impressed with how they conduct their business. This is such a nice, quaint candy shop. It wasn't super packed when we went, which was a relief after fighting the crowds on the island so many times. The candy selection I felt was great! Excellent variety, but little kids won't be overwhelmed by the choices either. They had candies I'd never seen before, and we definitely have some new faves. The fudge is SO GOOD! As was everything else we bought. 10/10- highly recommend, and we will be stopping here for treats EVERYTIME we come to Rockport. ~ Addison B

We went to this place last evening. Coming from nebraska we had no idea where to go for ice cream. The 2 young ladies who were working last evening were great. They chatted with us about their job, where they go to college, popular beaches to visit and of course the amazing ice cream. We tried samples and made our decisions w their help. This ice cream was so creamy and delicious. Besides the ice cream those 2 young ladies deserve a raise!!! Nice work ladies. Thank you for being great humans ~ Joni

Cool little ice cream shop that was quite busy today. The three women behind the counter were friendly and polite and kept the line moving. My wife had ice cream and my son and I had snow cones. All of their ice cream is from Blue Bell so you know it's good. Shaved ice snow cones were delicious too and hit the spot on this hot day. They also make sandwiches and sell all types of candy and sodas too. Check out the arcade next door too. Fun and tasty afternoon. ~ Mike O

We stumbled upon it by chance, but from the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with a bright, clean vibe that makes it perfect for families. But the real magic? The ice cream. Wow. After visiting Rockport for 5 consecutive years, we finally had the privilege of trying Grandma B’s Sweet Treats. LOVE the new location- Beautiful little store with a gorgeous view of the bay from a picnic table underneath a canopy of oak trees. All the best flavors of Blue Bell ice cream in a variety of homemade waffle cones or bowls. This will become a regular visit for us for sure. This place is fabulous! They have sandwiches, salads, fruit cups, banana splits, Bluebell Ice Cream (16 different flavors!) and don’t even get me started on the candy section! O.M.G.! Kim is amazing! This was our first time here, and it was incredible. I ended up making three purchases our first trip. I grabbed probably a 6 oz bag of toasted marshmallow jelly beans and buttered popcorn jelly beans because they are my favorite. I was so excited to find them. My son filled a bag of gumballs my mother-in-law got fudge. And we all got ice cream. ~ Cynthia S

Took my family there for some ice cream after dinner. We loved it. The simple atmosphere. The service was great and the staff were friendly to us. BEWARE though, the kids ice cream scoops are HUGE. And that’s a good thing :) My boys ate every single drop of ice cream. Next time we are in the area we will be sure to come back again. ~ Jay G

Their brownies are made in house which was a plus when ordering the brownie sundae. They also had fresh strawberries and a good selection of nut toppings. There waffle cones are also homemade and the kids loved them. By far one of the best ice cream shops we have visited and we love ice cream. The employees were awesome as well! ~ Ashli G

It makes me sad when a disgruntled employee (the one with the black hair) who has been let go due to less intelligent and just plan laziness, leaves a bad review. But now that really really bad girl is gone…the place is AMAZING. Love going in there when Bonnie, Alec or Gracie are working, so much fun!! Highly recommend. ~ Margarette L

I don't eat a lot of sweets but when I do... Seriously, I was on a short trip and we stopped in for ice cream. It was fantastic. The service was good and the little shop with treats made me regret not having my kids there with me. They would have loved it. I had a banana split and really enjoyed it. Above average. ~ Rudy R

Broad selection of bulk candy with my favorite chocolate caramel covered peanuts. It's a small shop and they still covered the basics and then some on ice cream choices. Some sandwich and soup selections. A must try especially on these hot summer days and you need a cold treat. We will be going back again. ~ Eric K

Fabulous ice cream!!! If you are in Rockport, this place is a must see. Absolutely adorable with huge selection of candies and chocolates. Bring the kids, bring a date. I just recommend you try it. I had butter pecan ice cream. It had almost equal parts pecans and ice cream. ~ Cindy N

This place is Awsome! Yeah its a busy place but, the young ladies that work there, work very hard to get your order as fast as possible. They give you very more than you would expect and they are very polite. I highly recommend you try this place out. 5 stars is not enough. ~ Troy D
